            About Mike

In this bio, I think you will see that I like helping people out. I do that as an advisor, investor, connector and by giving time and money in some cases. I provide value by leveraging skills, experience, brains and relationships. There’s a pretty good chance that I can help you out by utilizing one or more of these things.

Most recently, I was the CEO of Leverage Software which I founded in 2003. Leverage is an on-demand social business software solution to enable more effective employee and customer sharing. We sold Leverage in December of 2011 to Telligent. I’ve spoken at conferences produced by Gartner, O’Reilly Media, Forrester, AMA, Salesforce.com, New Marketing Labs and others. I have founded and run software companies and services firms and have been in the trenches as a sales rep, partner manager, sales manager and have run sales and business development teams at the VP level. I began my career at Raytheon Company where I designed missile defense systems. I received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and MBAs from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and Columbia University. I have had the good fortune of attending TED for each of the last 6 years, and Summit Series for the last several events. One of my greatest strengths has always been helping companies increase revenue.

I have been hit by lightning, hung out with other back-packers at the pyramids and jumped out of planes (and also just started to learn how to fly them).

            Advisory Boards and Investments

I am currently advising a few exciting companies including LovingEco, ReadyApps, and JungleCents. I’m helping these firms develop go-to-market strategies, develop revenue models, increase revenues, develop partnerships, develop social strategies and raise money. If you would like to discuss adding me to your advisory board, please connect with me here. I launched San Francisco Daily Secret and now advise the team on Global expansion. I am also an investor in a few startups, including UberCab, flutter.io, CureBit and am interested in other disruptive companies with outstanding teams and huge markets.

I’m a big believer in giving back and support charity: water and Summer Harlow (and her sisters) and her initiatives. I also believe that there needs to be more awareness, acceptance of truth and help around suicide awareness and plan to help out in this area and I believe that www.TWLOHA.com is doing a great job addressing these issues.
